Middle School

A key milestone in your child’s educational journey, where students strengthen their knowledge, grow in independence, and broaden their understanding of the world.

At Lycée Jules Verne, middle school is an exciting stage where students deepen their knowledge, gain independence, and develop critical thinking skills in a supportive, international environment. Our carefully designed program follows the French Ministry of National Education curriculum while offering a global perspective that prepares students for life beyond the classroom.

Collège at Lycée Jules Verne bridges primary school and high school, helping students consolidate their learning, build strong study habits, and begin shaping their future goals. Alongside academic growth, students explore citizenship, arts, and health education, making each day a rich and balanced experience.

At Lycée Jules Verne, we strive to make sure that every student grows with confidence, developing the ability to communicate effortlessly in French, English, and their mother tongue.

Personalised language pathways for every student

At Lycée Jules Verne, we recognise that every child’s language journey is unique. That’s why we offer carefully designed language pathways inspired by the AEFE’s PARLE program, ensuring each student receives the right level of support and challenge to thrive.

Our programs are tailored to help them grow into capable, confident, and globally minded learners.

  • General Section – PARLE (Foreign Language Pathway)
  • American International Section (SIA)
  • French+ Section (designed for non-French-speaking students at B1 level or below)

Preparing for future success

At the end of grade 9 (troisième), students take the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB), an important milestone that validates their achievements and prepares them for the transition to high school. With a strong academic foundation, growing independence, and confidence in multiple languages, our students are ready to embark on the next stage of their educational journey.
