The Lycée Jules Verne offers aftercare and assisted studies for primary school students.
Aftercare rules
Aftercare is available for pre-primary and primary school students (TPS to CM2).
– Monday to Thursday, 2:30 pm to 5 pm
– Friday from 12:15pm to 4pm
As the aftercare operating hours conclude at 5pm from Monday to Thursday and at 4pm on Fridays, we kindly request parents to ensure timely pick-up of their children, no later than the times mentioned above.
If necessary, a snack can be provided in the schoolbag of pupils attending the aftercare. In accordance with the school’s rules and regulations, please provide a balanced snack (fruit, dried fruit, dried cookies, dairy products).
Please be aware that on Fridays, canteen meals are not available for Pre-primary and Primary school students. If your child stays in aftercare we request that parents provide a balanced meal and drink. Alternatively, if needed, parents may buy a canteen ticket for 50 rand from the school reception.
Parents or guardians are kindly requested to wait for students at the gate. A supervisor will greet you at the gate and record the name(s) of the pupil(s). Students will be escorted to the gate by a supervisor from the playgrounds.
Please note that we require ALL individuals picking up children from Aftercare, whether participating in activities or not, to visibly display their Lycée Jules Verne 2023-2024 access card. Drivers (Cool cabs, School Link… or other independent drivers) must show their driver’s card and the official list of their cab company mentioning the name and password of the children. Without this information, the children cannot be handed over to the driver.
2023-2024 assisted studies schedule:
Assisted studies are offered to elementary school pupils (CP, CE1, CE2, CM1 and CM2) from Monday to Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 pm.
Please take note of the following:
If your child is only enrolled in aftercare, you must pay the aftercare fee for the semester.
If your child is enrolled in an extra-curricular activity or assisted studies, aftercare is free.
ATTENTION: If your child attends aftercare without registering, a fixed fee of R170 per day will be charged.
